I assume the author wanted us to understand the depth of the passion of the couple, but there were so many repeated erections that it actually started to get boring, and I found myself fast forwarding thru a few of them!! I began to wonder if there was something wrong with men today? Is it just normal for 9th century Vikings to have complete intercourse 5 or 6 times in one night. And although I love a randy romance novel, the sexual scenes in this book were often beyond fictional. I found the book's plot to be very predictable and rather common. I was hopeful that my book choices were made for the next 3 books. I picked it up with the intention of getting the whole series. When I read the reviews about this book, I expected a heart jerking, soul wrenching, historical romance.
